Kitimaat Village Fire Deemed Suspicious

An investigation in to a Kitimaat Village fire has been launched after crews deemed the Saturday blaze suspicious.

Both Kitimat RCMP and crews from the Haisla Fire Department are involved in the investigation.

According to crews, the fire started outside a home in the Village, and residents were able to identify it and escape safe and unharmed.

Unsure of the exact cause of the blaze, crews are now investigating it as suspicious, and those with relevant information are asked to contact RCMP at 250 632 7111.
