Northern Health has declared an end to two outbreaks in Prince George, both of which had been in place for more than a month.
Both outbreaks were declared at the University Hospital of Northern BC, one covering the Internal Medicine Unit, and one the Primary Care Medical Unit.
Declared on October 4th, the IMU outbreak saw 20 patients and 9 staff test positive for Covid-19, while two of the patients passed away.
Initially put in place on September 24th, the Primary Care outbreak saw 14 patients and two staff test positive, with two patients passing on.
No new cases have been recorded at either Unit since mid-October, and Northern Health has now seen fit to end the outbreaks.
