Terrace led the Northwest in Covid cases last week for the fourth week in a row, and this time they are trending up.
Two weeks ago, the Terrace Health Area registered 66 new cases, but saw a jump to 81 last week, while most other Areas saw a drop.
Kitimat saw just one case last week, down from 12 the prior week, Prince Rupert reported 11 cases, compared to 25 the previous week, while Haida Gwaii remained steady at 1 case.
Smithers saw their case-gaining streak come to an end, reporting 31 cases, down from 54, Burns Lake fell to 16 cases from 33, and the Nisga’a Health area saw one more case than the previous week with 18.
The Northeast saw significant drops across the board, with Prince George reporting 110 cases, and the Peace North and South seeing 89 and 76 cases, respectively.
Quesnel saw 69 cases last week, a gain of two over the previous report.
Vaccination rates have remained relatively steady in the Northwest, while the Northeast made significant progress, with most Health Areas passing the 70 percent single dose threshold.
