Search and Rescue teams in Prince Rupert will now be better equipped to handle every situation.
Thanks to a 125 thousand dollar investment from the Prince Rupert Port Authority, the Prince Rupert Ground Search and Rescue team’s mobile command centre is now complete.
The new command centre will provide crews with all of the communications devices necessary to coordinate and stay connected with other organizations during emergency situations.
Additionally, it provides the team with easily accessible mobile storage for all equipment needed to conduct rescues.
In recent years, the Port Authority’s Community Investment Fund has provided more than 650 thousand dollars in funding for Rescue teams in the Northwest.
