Outbreak at Bulkley Valley District Hospital Declared Over

Northern Health has declared the end of a Covid outbreak at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital.

Declared on October 19th, the outbreak had covered the Inpatient Unit at the Smithers-based hospital.

In total, five patients and one staff member tested positive during the outbreak, with one patient passing away.

There have been no new cases at the Unit since shortly after the outbreak was declared.
