Terrace saw a significant leap in Covid cases last week as they continue to lead the Northwest.
According to the BC CDC’s most recent regional report, Terrace saw 91 cases last week, up from 63 the week before.
Prince Rupert saw just one new case last week, down from 10 the week before, Kitimat saw one more case than the previous week with 9, and Haida Gwaii went from 1 case to 2 last week.
Smithers saw a sizable drop from 33 cases to 22 last week, Burns Lake went from 40 to 17, and the Nisga’a Health Area saw one more case with 9.
The Northeast continued their case drop last week, with Prince George reporting 95 cases, and the Peace North and South registering 95 and 38 cases, respectively.
Quesnel finally saw a drop in cases last week, going to 48 from a previous 69.
Vaccination rates remained relatively unchanged, with the Peace South still being the only Local Area below 69 percent single dose-rates.
