Elementary school aged kids are now able to get some protection against the virus that put the entire world on hold.
As of today, around 350-thousand children that are aged between 5-11 in BC are able to get a pediatric dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
The shot got approved by Health Canada earlier in November and Dr. Bonnie Henry, B-C’s provincial health officer, stated that three-million children in the United States got the same type of shot with no safety concerns arising.
The drive for BC youngsters to get vaccinated is expected to end around the last few days of January.
