British Columbia has identified its first case of the Omicron Covid variant, and have identified a number of possible exposure risks.
So far, the province has identified 204 individuals who have recently returned to BC from countries with confirmed Omicron cases.
The one confirmed case comes from an individual who recently returned from Nigeria and is being isolated in the Fraser Health Authority.
According to Dr Bonnie Henry, it is too soon do determine what level of risk the new variant offers, but they are working with experts across the world to figure out the best course of action.
