Shames Mountain is reminding residents that, while they are preparing for their earliest opening in a decade, they aren’t quite there yet.
The ski area is preparing to open this Saturday, but still have some work ahead of them to get the hills ready for use.
However, in the recent weeks their Snowcats have experienced several close calls with both people and animals.
Now, Shames Mountain is reminding residents to stay away from the area until Saturday so that they can safely finish their preparations.
Those who get caught on the grounds prior to Saturday’s opening will have their skiing privileges suspended for two weeks.
