Greg Bolton, left, stands alongside fellow student, Cadence Grant, after standing up to discrimination and controversy at their school.
Bolton, became a topic of news headlines last month after an incident which saw a teacher discriminate against him in school.
While attending picture day at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School in Kitimat, Bolton decided to wear his traditional regalia.
But his decision was met with ridicule by one of his teachers, who consistently referred to his clothing as a “costume”.
After his classmates banded together in support, they were asked to leave by the teacher.
Later, dozens of students joined Bolton outside the school in a show of solidarity, which was matched by First Nations communities across BC in the following days.
