A Prince Rupert driver is now facing a slew of charges after fleeing an impaired driving stop last week.
At around 3:00 in the afternoon on Friday, RCMP began receiving reports of an impaired driver.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect fled the scene before they could.
Police were able to track the 27 year-old suspect back to his home on the 200 block of Silverside Drive, where he had barricaded himself inside.
About an hour later, police caught the man trying exit his residence and re-enter his vehicle.
Following a brief second pursuit inside the home, the suspect was apprehended, and is now facing charges of flight from a peace officer, refusal to comply with demand, and dangerous operation.
