Northern Health is once again altering Covid restrictions when it comes to worship services.
Last month, the Health Authority announced they would be expanding regional orders which had been in place in the east, to cover the entire Authority.
One casualty of the expanded order was in-person worship services, which were banned outright.
In light of backlash levied by many faith-based organizations, the Authority has decided to once again alter their regional restrictions.
Now, faith-based organizations will be able to resume in-person worship services, limited to 50 percent of capacity, so long as all participants are 11 years of age or older.
Proof of vaccination will still need to be provided for worship services, though not for drive-in or virtual services.
In addition, the Authority is also eliminating proof of vaccination requirements for outdoor events.
Personal gatherings are still limited to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors.
Public gatherings are limited to 50 percent of seated capacity indoors with proof of vaccination, and 50 percent of outdoor capacity.
All Provincial Health Orders are still in place as well.
