Most of the North saw a significant drop in Covid cases last week, compared to the week before.
Terrace led the Northwest in both total cases, and cases dropped going to 26 last week, compared to 56 the week before.
Prince Rupert remained steady with 8 cases last week, Kitimat matched them with 8 cases, down from 19, and Haida Gwaii registered 0 cases, down from 3.
For the third week in a row, the Nisga’a Health Area saw no new cases, Smithers saw just 7 cases, down from 12 the week before, and Burns Lake saw 3 cases, 5 fewer than two weeks ago.
In the east, the Peace North and South saw 50 and 26 cases, respectively, Prince George reported 53, and Quesnel saw 26.
Since January of 2020, Terrace has reported 1,514 Covid cases, Prince Rupert has seen 973, Kitimat 403, and Smithers 1,072.
