6 forestry students in the North are among 13 in BC receiving scholarships to help advance their future in the industry.
Each year since 2007, the BC Council of Forest Industries have handed out the scholarships to students pursuing careers in the forestry industry.
This year’s recipients will each receive 2,000 dollars to attend a BC-based post secondary institute.
Prince George residents Tyler Emberley and Dorthy Stewart will nab scholarships to attend UBC, and the Native Education College, respectively.
Smithers student Daniel Lecourt, and Burns Lake resident Ashley Philip will attend the University of Victoria.
And both Tyler Fenton of Quesnel, and Reilly Fuller of Williams Lake get scholarships to attend the College of New Caledonia.
