An RCMP vaccination mandate issued by the Federal government in November is going to cost the City of Terrace over 36,000 dollars.
In November of last year, the government issued a mandate requiring all contracted workers and employees at RCMP detachments be vaccinated.
Due to this mandate, the Terrace detachment was forced to cut ties with their current janitorial services provider.
After a review process of three submitted bids to replace the service, the detachment settled on one which would see a cost increase of nearly 37 thousand dollars.
With the increase, the service will cost the City 98,000 dollars in 2022.
