No one was harmed as a result of two structure fires in Thornhill over the past two days, but the same cannot be said for the structures.
Members of the Thornhill Volunteer Fire Department responded to the first fire just before 2:00 yesterday afternoon.
Fire fighters had the fire, which sprouted at a detached shop near Mountain View Avenue, under control in just over 2 hours.
A second fire ignited this morning at around 3:00 in a residence on Bobsein Crescent.
Both buildings were unoccupied at the time of the fires, and no injuries resulted, though fire crews noted extensive damage to both structures.
