What started as a firearm tip in New Hazelton ended with police seizing over 20,000 dollars in stolen goods.
On Wednesday, RCMP were called to Churchill Street after reports of an interaction which resulted in one person pointing a gun at another.
Police quickly arrived on scene and were able to apprehend one person without incident.
During the arrest, police located a prohibited weapon which was believed to have been involved in the initial offence.
After obtaining a search warrant, police located and seized numerous other firearms, weapons, and what is believed to be cocaine and oxycodone.
In addition, police were able to locate over 20,000 dollars of stolen power tools, art, accessories, and computer parts.
