Enhanced Covid restrictions which had been in place in Northern Health since Christmas Eve have now been lifted.
That means that residents of the North are now under the same provincial health orders as all other Health Authorities.
Due to rapidly climbing Covid rates, Northern Health had put in additional restrictions to liquor service hours, worship services, outdoor gatherings, and venue capacities on December 24th.
Initially, those restrictions were meant to stay in place until January 31st, but have now been lifted early.
However, residents must still follow all provincial health orders, including masking and vaccination mandates.
That means no indoor private gatherings, and all organized events indoor and outdoor are limited to 50 percent of seated capacity.
