It was another week of raising Covid cases last week for nearly every Local Health Areas in the North.
Terrace saw a modest jump in cases last week, going to 116 from 109 the previous week, Prince Rupert saw 90 new cases compared to 72 two weeks ago, Kitimat actually dropped cases going from 63 to 51 last week, and Haida Gwaii 28 cases, 1 more than the prior week.
For the second week in a row Smithers led the Northwest in cases with 293 up from 196 two weeks back, Burns Lake went to 53 cases from 31, and the Upper Skeena saw 40 cases, 12 more than the week before.
Moving East, the Peace River North and South reported 115 and 85 cases respectively, while Prince George saw 565 cases, and Quesnel 43.
With the exception of the Nisga’a Health Area, the entire Northwest currently sits above 60 cases per 100,000 people.
