A new partnership in Prince Rupert is making it easier for children to get in to reading.
In honour of Family Literacy Day, the Prince Rupert Port Authority and North Coast Literacy Now have announced their renewed partnership.
That partnership will see them sponsor the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, which provides children with free books, free of charge.
Each month, children registered in the program will receive a brand new, age-appropriate, book in the mail, addressed to them.
Children must be under 5 to register, and families with multiple children can register each individually.
NCLN first brought the program to Prince Rupert in Spring of last year, and the new partnership will keep it in the community through 2023.
