Members of the Métis Nation in the Northwest will soon have access to new supports, as well as affordable housing.
Thanks 850,000 dollars in funding from the Canada-Métis Nation Housing Sub-Accord, the Métis Nation BC has acquired a chunk of land in Terrace.
That land will be used to build below-market rate housing for Nation members, as well as office space for the Northwest BC Métis Association, and will house early years programs and support services.
Now, the Nation will engage in a Request for Proposals process to find a qualified development consultant to lead the project.
