Six individuals were temporarily apprehended following a drug trafficking investigation in Masset.
In December of last year, Masset RCMP received reports of possible drug trafficking in the community.
Last Thursday, police observed a vehicle leaving a residence believed to be involved, after a short stop.
Police pulled the driver over, and after a short search, discovered suspected cocaine in the vehicle, afterwhich the driver was arrested.
A search warrant was executed at the residence the following day.
During that investigation, police seized a significant amount of suspected drugs and paraphernalia, cash, loaded firearms, and ammunition.
Six individuals were apprehended at the residence, though all were later released.
