Many areas of the north saw drops in Covid cases last week, though most of the more populated Health Areas held steady.
In Terrace, 86 new cases were reported last week, up slightly from the 86 from two weeks ago.
Prince Rupert saw 79 cases, up from 70 the week before, Kitimat dropped from 48 cases two weeks ago to 33 last week, and Haida Gwaii reported 6 cases, down from 23.
Smithers recorded a sizable drop in cases last week, hitting 81 from 131 the week before, Burns Lake also saw a big drop with 17 cases last week, down from 60.
Cases stayed relatively steady in the Nechako Health Area, with 73 cases, down from 76, the Upper Skeena dropped to 20 cases from 34 , and the Nisga’a Health Area saw 2 cases, after recording none the week before.
In the Northeast, cases stayed pretty steady across the board, with the Peace North and South reporting 125 and 92 cases respectively, Prince George saw 546 cases, and Quesnel reported 73.
Both Smithers and Terrace passed the 2,000 cumulative case mark last week.
