Highway 16 is now open to traffic again west of Terrace, though major delays are still expected.
After being completely closed for just over an hour, the Highway has now re-opened to single lane alternating traffic.
There is still extensive water pooling on the roads, and delays of 20 minutes plus should still be expected.
Small cars and those with limited ground clearance should avoid the road if at all possible.
Multiple vehicles had reported getting stuck on the Highway, even with the conditions prior to the closure.
Rainfall warnings remain in place in the Northwest, with up to 70 mm expected to fall in to the late evening.
Those warnings cover most of Highway 16 west of Prince George, and the entirety of Highway 37.
