They came together for an annual walk put on by the Tears to Hope Society, which aligned with the annual women’s march in Vancouver.
A number of attendees shared their thoughts on the impressive turnout, and on what it meant to all impacted by the tragedies along the infamous Highway.
Families of those who have not returned home gathered at the MMIWG Totem Pole near Kitsumkalum prior to the walk.
Afterwards, walkers began the trip at City Hall at noon, circled through the downtown, before wrapping up at Tillicum Twin Theatre for speeches and food.
A number of other commemorative walks took place across the country in tandem with the Terrace and Vancouver events.
