More than half of the 15 million rapid Covid tests received by the Province have yet to be distributed.
Of the just over 8 million tests still to be distributed, 7.5 million are suitable to be sent out.
A number of those tests will go out to schools, and starting next week, K to 12 students will be offered sets of 5 take-home tests for their households, should they show symptoms.
Also beginning next week, the province will be offering take-home rapid tests to seniors showing symptoms in the general population.
An additional 2.9 million tests are en route, and just under 10 million unshipped tests are scheduled to arrive in BC in the coming weeks.
