A suspect of an assault call in Terrace attempted to square off with a police officer after a failed attempt to flee.
Just after 5:00 Tuesday evening, RCMP received a report of a domestic disturbance on Keith Avenue, where a man was reported to be assaulting a woman while chasing her.
When officers arrived on scene and informed the man he was being arrested, he fled.
Police were able to chase down the man, at which point he turned to square off with an officer before throwing a knife at their head.
When the knife missed, the suspect, identified as Lloyd Duncan, attempted to flee again, bought was quickly apprehended with the help of additional officers.
Duncan is being held in custody on approved charges of assault, assaulting a police officer, obstruction, uttering threats, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
