Much needed housing is on the way in Prince Rupert, with the city putting a number of lots up for sale.
Nine empty, city-owned, lots are being put up for sale, on the condition that they be used to build housing.
All sold properties will have a covenant on them, requiring housing to be built within two years, or ownership will revert back to the City.
Mayor Lee Brain says the decision to list the lots is part of a major expansion plan to attract 1,000 new housing units to the community.
A bid for someone to clear the lots of muskeg and peat to prep and make them easier for development, was also put out.
A map showing the location of each available lot is available below.

Bids on the properties are being accepted until March 11th, and you can contact the City for more info.
