New, much needed, rental housing is coming to Terrace.
As part of last night’s regular meeting, City Council awarded a development permit to a proposed downtown townhouse complex.
That proposal would see 21 units built on the 4800 block of Lazelle Avenue, at the corner of Park Avenue.
The proposed development would feature mostly two and three bedroom units, each with a small concrete patio, and backyard space.
According to the permit applicant, all new housing built on the site will be rental units.
In addition, the applicant has agreed to pay nearly 48,000 dollars in offsite work fees, to go towards future upgrades to Park Avenue.
