A partnership between Indigenous Services Canada, Indigenous Tourism BC and the Aboriginal Financial Institutions will bring about a $5-million-dollar tourism and hospitality fund.
All of said funds are going to be delivered via the Indigenous Community Business Fund.
This fund is available to Indigenous communities looking to support their local tourism and hospitality businesses who have taken a major blow in the profit department.
Businesses that weren’t eligible for other government relief services are the main targets of this fund.
Non-repayable grant contributions of up to $250,000 will be given to those who are selected and all applications must be given either by the community or collectives on behalf of the business.
Applications will continue to be accepted until all the funding has been given out.
