Everyone living in BC will have access to high-speed internet by 2027, thanks to a new joint investment by the province and Ottawa.
That investment will see a total of 830 million dollars go toward closing British Columbia’s digital divide, as part of the province’s StrongerBC Economic Plan.
According to the province, approximately 115,000 rural, remote, and Indigenous households will be connected to high-speed service.
Minister of Jobs Ravi Kahlon says the money will be used on low-orbit satellites, fixed cable connections, fibre optic lines, and more.
