Highway 16 has re-opened to traffic between Terrace and Prince Rupert, following a morning closure.
Previous Story:
Drivers heading between Terrance and Prince Rupert should expect to see delays, at least through the morning.
Highway 16 is currently down to single lane alternating traffic roughly 30 kms west of Terrace, after a truck went off the road.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Dave Jephsen, the truck was headed east after departing a Mill in Prince Rupert.
But, the Kenilworth rig went off the road near Ecstew, spilling 2 x 4s across the road.
Initially, the road was closed in both directions, but has now opened to single lane altenating traffic, with 20 minute delays expected.
An update from Drive BC is expected at noon.
