Highway 37 has now re-opened between Terrace and Kitimat, following a morning which closed the road for more than 7 hours.

Initially the Highway was closed in both directions near Onion Lake, while fire crews and RCMP attended the incident.
While the extent of the incident is still unknown at this time, the road has now re-opened to single-lane alternating traffic only.
Drivers should expect to hit delays as they approach the intersection with Wedeene Mainline and Upper Kitimat Road, roughly 30 kms North of Kitimat.
