3:00 Update:
Power has been restored to nearly 4,000 BC Hydro customers in Kitimat, following an outage which stretched into the afternoon.
A vehicle collision from this morning resulted in the outage, which began around 10:00, and ended at 3:30.
Traffic control crews had also been in place, due to an out-of-service traffic light at Kuldo Boulevard and Haisla Boulevard.
1:00 Update:
Close to 1,700 BC Hydro customers in Kitimat are without power following a vehicle incident from this morning.
Residents between Dyke Road to the west, King Fisher Avenue to the East, and the Lahakas- Quatsino Boulevard intersection to the south.
Initially, close to 4,000 customers were without power, and power is expected to be fully restored by 6:00 this evening.
Temporary traffic control is also in place at Kuldo Boulevard and Haisla Boulevard, due to an out-of-service traffic light.

Close to 4,000 BC Hydro customers in Kitimat are without power following a vehicle incident from this morning.
Residents between Dyke Road to the west, Forest Avenue to the East, and Quatsino Boulevard to the south, and the furthest north point of Kitimat are covered under the outage.
Hydro crews arrived on site just after 10:00 this morning, and expect power to be restored by 6:00 this evening.
Temporary traffic control is also in place at Kuldo Boulevard and Haisla Boulevard, due to an out-of-service traffic light.
