A secondary concrete production plant could be on the way to Kitimat, pending a public consultation.
As part of yesterday’s regular meeting, council received a proposal for a temporary use permit to bring the plant to the District.
Featuring an open, portable design, the plant would find a home at 2150 Forest Avenue, for the next 3 years.
They opted to refer the application to the Advisory Planning Commission for approval from the Director of Planning.
In addition, a public notice is being sent out to all property owners on Forest Avenue or within 90 metres of the property for review and feedback.
A notice detailing the proposal and inviting residents to provide feedback will be posted to the District’s website, soon.
