One organization in Northwest BC is among 8 in Canada receiving fresh federal funding to recruit, train, and mentor energy advisors.
Energy advisors are key to the Canada Greener Homes Grant initiative, which aims to provide support to homeowners looking to make their homes more energy efficient.
Pre and post-retrofit evaluations are conducted by the energy advisors, and with the initiative’s high demand in its first year, Ottawa has identified a need to hire and train more.
EcoTrust Canada, in Prince Rupert, will receive $300,000 in funding to support the delivery of training programs.
In total, the 8 organizations will split $4.2 million in funding.
