Kitimat residents may notice some discolouration in their water as the District begins their annual water main flush tomorrow.
Each spring, the mains are flushed to remove sediment, and ensure drinking water remains safe and clean.
This year’s annual flush is expected to begin tomorrow, and run through June 30th at the latest.
During this time, the water is still safe to drink, though residents may notice short periods of low water pressure, as well as possible discolouration.
If you do notice discolouration, you are advised to run your taps until the water runs clear.
