This summer, RCMP in Terrace will be targeting youth residents with a new ticketing campaign, though these tickets will net you treats, rather than a fine.
Beginning in June and running through August, police will be on the lookout for youth making healthy and positive lifestyle choices.
That can include simply wearing a helmet when biking or participating in a physical activity, or being a good Samaritan by helping seniors cross the street.
Anyone who receives one of the positive tickets will be able to redeem it for treats such as chocolate, ice cream, chips, and other snacks.
Each ticket will also represent an entry in to a draw with a chance at winning more prizes, which will be announced later.
