A report was read last night at Prince Rupert’s city council meeting, letting council know that the construction of a new Ferry Berth for the city’s airport Ferry and a breakwater asset to accommodate the Gitxaala First Nation’s new ferry is ready to get started.
This project also includes making improvements to the Rotary Waterfront Park.
The project has progressed quite a bit thanks to the city’s staff and their partners in this endeavor, the province of BC, the Gitxaala Nation and CN Rail.
Council gave approval for the project to be awarded under the Master Services Agreement.
All of the costs for the project is going to be covered by grant funding.
