As of noon tomorrow, Category 2 and 3 open fires will once again be allowed within the City of Terrace.
Yesterday, a similar ban which had been in place in the Northwest Fire Centre was also rescinded.
However, those wishing to start a Category 3 burn must still seek prior approval from the Terrace Fire Department, or the Fire Centre, depending on jurisdiction.
Those wishing to start a Category 2 fire are also advised to check with local authorities ahead of time to see which restrictions are in place.
According to FireSmart, there were a total of 68 wildfires province-wide this month.
