Four schools in the North are set to benefit from fresh provincial funding to improve playground equipment and promote healthy lifestyles.
A total of $5 million is being split between 30 schools across BC through the Playground Equipment Program.
Each school will receive $165,000 to go toward building new accessible playgrounds.
Those receiving funding include: Hazelton’s Majagaleehl Gali Aks Elementary, Port Clements Elementary on Haida Gwaii, and Hart Highlands and College Heights Elementary schools in Prince George.
Plans are for the playgrounds to be designed, built, and installed over the next year.
