While the province as a whole saw a rise in the number of Covid cases last week, Northern Health saw a drop in their totals.
As a whole, BC registered 2,276 new cases between April 17th and the 23rd, up from 2,036 the week before, with 355 hospitalizations and 42 deaths.
Northern Health saw 118 of those cases, down from 147, with 20 hospitalizations, and 1 death.
By Local Health Area, Terrace lead the Northwest with 13 new cases, while Smithers saw 9, Kitimat reported 6, Prince Rupert 7, 3 on Haida Gwaii, and 3 in the Nisga’a Health Area.
Prince George registered just under half of the North’s total cases with 54.
