Welcome to an episode of Journeys with your host to Kelly Kenny. For tonights episode I sat down with an Ossie Michelin. Ossie hails from North West River, Labrador. Ossie as a young child wasn’t exposed to Inuit Drum Dancing; he was a young adult when he discovered drum dancing. It was in the early 2000s after hearing and feeling the drum and seeing drum dancing this is when he decided that he had to highlight and make a film to help bring back the love for drum dancing. Ossie decided to make a documentary style film about a young mother, Amy sharing her love for her culture and passing this passion down to her son, Evan. You will hear all the trials and tribulations that took place for Ossie and his team to bring this film to world.
