A resolution by the City of Terrace to address the Prosecution Service’s failure to keep prolific offenders off the streets has gained even more support.
Last week, Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson, brought concerns over similar issues faced in his community to Attorney General David Eby and Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth.
He also added that he would be supporting a pair of North Central Local Government Association resolutions put forward by the Cities of Terrace and Williams Lake.
Quesnel and Williams Lake aren’t the only communities lending support to the issue, however.
All parties shared concerns over the increase in property crime, theft, and public safety concerns the current method is bringing.
