Three northern projects are among 21 finalists nominated for the 2022 Land Awards.
Put on by the Real Estate Foundation of BC, the awards seek to honour innovation and leadership in sustainable, equitable, and socially just land-use and real estate practices.
In the Land Use and Conservation category, the Gathering Voices Society gets a nod for their Tsilhqot’in Wildfire Management Project.
Nominated in the Fresh Water category is the Skeena Knowledge Trust for their Knowledge Mobilization Across the Skeena Watershed project.
And Tea Creek Farm in Kitwanga gets a nod in the Food Lands category.
In total, there are 5 categories, each with 4 nominees, judged on creativity, impact, collaboration, engagement, and project future.
A Gala to hand out the awards will take place at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster on June 9th.
