More than 46,000 additional cruise passengers could be coming through the Port of Prince Rupert this year, thanks to 16 added vessel calls.
Most of those come from the addition of Princess Cruise’s Ruby Princess to the schedule, which will make a stop at the port roughly every 10 days.
With its 3,080 passenger capacity, the vessel holds roughly 400 more passengers than the next closest scheduled to stop at the port.
In addition, the Prince Rupert Port Authority has also added one new vessel call from the Windstar’s 312 passenger Star Breeze.
With the two vessels added to the schedule, the port is now expecting 43 vessel calls and more than 60,000 passengers between now and September 30th.
