Cruise Ship Season Opens in Prince Rupert With First Stop in More Than 2 Years

Prince Rupert played host to its first cruise ship in more than two years this week, after a pandemic induced freeze.

On Tuesday, the 3,080 passenger Ruby Princess opened the cruise ship season at the Port of Prince Rupert.

A late addition to the roster, the Ruby Princess is the largest cruise ship that will dock at the Port this year, which it will do 14 more times in 2022.

Earlier this month, the Prince Rupert Port Authority announced the addition of the Ruby Princess to the roster, more than doubling their expected passenger total.
