Public access to Minette Bay Park in Kitimat will be cut off beginning next week, in order to allow for improvement work.
That work will see the installation of picnic tables and a causeway shelter at the waterfront, as well as the completion of a trail loop.
In order to allow for the work to be completed, the Park will close down on Wednesday, and remain closed through June 30th.
Those improvements are part of the District’s plans to transform Kitimat’s first public waterfront access in to a world-class destination.
Even once the Park re-opens in July, some work may continue through the summer.
