The Bike Rodeo has come back to Terrace.
The RCMP along with other emergency services providers and local businesses have resurrected the program after covid caused its cancellation two years in a row.
The event starts on June 11th and teaches kids the importance of safety while at the same time introducing them to the emergency responders such as the Fire Department, Paramedics, the Conservation Service, the North Brain Injury Association and the Terrace SAR team.
Constable Kelly Cates, the Terrace RCMP’s community policing officer says the rodeo is a hands on interactive event that gets families out of the house together, after so many events were stopped by covid.
This event is open to all ages and is free.
Those who partake will get a goody bag, snacks and have a chance to win prizes.
It all happens in the Skeena Mall parking lot and will run between 3 and 6 p.m. and kids can sign up when they arrive.
