Covid cases in both the province and north continued to trend downwards last week, according to the CDC’s most recent weekly report.
Between May 22nd and the 28th, BC saw 1,163 new Covid cases province-wide, down from 1,358 the week before.
In terms of hospitalizations, the province saw 265, down from 345, with 44 passing away last week after testing positive in the prior 30 days.
In the North, cases dropped from 86 to 66 last week, with 13 hospitalizations, down from 17, and 2 deaths.
By Local Health Area, Kitimat led the Northwest with 9 cases, Terrace saw 5, Burns Lake 3, with Smithers, Haida Gwaii, and the Nisga’a and Upper Skeena Health Areas all reporting 0 new cases.
